More Daffodils
I must admit that I am very pleased to see more Narcissus coming up in my garden, though I am curious as to their decision to bloom in early fall versus spring, when I kind of expected them to bloom. … Continue reading
King Acres: Something New
My Chrysanthemums have gone wild! They are about three to four feet high and are falling over where not supported. I will be visiting the nursery soon to find out if I cut them down to the stalk, will they … Continue reading
King Acres: A World of Discovery
I think this is an anomaly; I’ve never seen a Zantedeschia aethiopica (Calla Lily) with such a bloom. Isn’t that interesting? These are the kind of fireworks Mojo and I like. I was all excited, thinking I had spotted my … Continue reading

I Want To Be A Daisy
Daisies (Leucanthemum x superbum ‘Alaska’) are such happy flowers. I was obviously premature when I took the previous picture, as the flower had not opened up fully. Today’s image was a bit tough to get, as it was windy and … Continue reading
Katy did like King Acres

My First Shasta Daisy
After fifteen months, I finally have my first Leucanthemum x superbum ‘Alaska’ bloom. I can’t believe it took so long, when the Tagetes I planted on June 7 started blooming within two weeks — both grown from seed.
King Acres Prepares for Summer
Yesterday, Father’s Day, was the first day my Tagetes patula ‘French Dwarf Double’ had begun to open their blooms. The following pictures are from today: I should be able to post a picture of my Leucanthemum x superbum ‘Alaska’ tomorrow … Continue reading
King Acres Trumps June Gloom
I have noticed that the majority of my Chrysanthemums are yellow blooms when they should be half yellow and half purple. I wonder if the bees have been playing around in King Acres. This observation does not even taken into … Continue reading
Another Glad Surprise
I had completely forgotten that I had one Gladiolus that was neither a Spic and Span, nor a Peter Pear and like clockwork, it was one of the later, and biggest, plants to bloom this year. I just love the … Continue reading
King Acres: May Flowers
I can’t wait till I have a regular job and a steady income to finally do my flower beds right. I am so tired of these damn weeds. As such, I have not been much of an avid gardener this … Continue reading
