8:00 am: Call initiated to Los Angeles Department of Public Social Services
8:42 am: I am finally connected to Mr. Orozco, who informs me no help available, as systems are down. I may check back in a couple of hours…
This is the correspondence I sent via their contact form while I was waiting to be connected:
TODAY is day 45 and a check online does not reveal any progress. Neither have I received any reply correspondence from Hilda Solis, Edmund Brown, Eric Garcetti, or my local DPSS office. Finally, I am on the phone right now, trying to get answers.
As such, I am DEMANDING a reply/answer from you TODAY, as the the STATUS OF MY APPLICATION BEING PROCESSED.
12:55 pm: Initiated second call and cannot get connected to anyone. The information on the automated system can’t even be communicated to me properly: one recording saying I have been approved and then disconnecting me before retrieval of information can be completed; and one recording saying my benefits were cancelled March 2011. WTF!?
And now I can’t find a working phone number that has worked previously. As such, I decided to email Hilda Solis again:
I was receiving CalFresh benefits.
I failed to complete an SAR.
I completed the SAR and mailed it back, as instructed.
My CalFresh benefits were terminated
Someone suggested re-applying.
Applied online on October 13, 2015
After a week and no notice, I called and was informed application can take 30-45 days to process.
Today is day 45 (+ or – 1 or two day) and I have not heard anything.
I wrote DPSS, you, Eric Garcetti and Edmund Brown and have not received one reply.
I wrote CDSS and DPSS via their website today; I can’t honestly say I expect to hear anything from them either
I already detest government and you are not making our relationship any better.
In the meantime, I am forced to use my car savings to and am in danger of eviction from the garage I currently reside in.
REPLY TO ME IMMEDIATELY!
Please be aware I am documenting everything in my personal blog for all to see!
13:38: Done for the day with all things bureaucratic and medical.
