REVIEW
My attention was not fully on the movie except for the parts where Robert Downey Jr. was revealed, as I was crocheting while watching. The fact that dialogue was difficult to distinguish led to my decision to continue with my crochet.

Unsurprising in this “reimagining” was the level of violence. I always took Holmes as an intellect and perhaps that is the persona I prefer, though to be honest, shirtless Downey Jr. was good compensation, especially the scene where he is handcuffed to the bed!

I had seen this movie before, but not in its entirety; this accounts for my delay in actually viewing the movie from beginning to end. It was not awful, but I think all the action distracts from the concentration required to follow all the finer deductions.

I was surprised to see Mark Strong and just as attracted.
