REVIEW
A very different kind of film from Alfred Hitchcock, taking what could otherwise be a macabre situation and turning it into a very tongue-in-cheek comedy, albeit tame by today’s standards. I didn’t start really laughing until the plot thickened.

The scenery/location of this story are absolutely beautiful and the richness of the movie color emphasizes that. I was surprised to learn that was John Forsythe as Sam Marlowe, Shirley MacLaine as Jennifer Rogers and Jerry Mathers (The Beaver) as Ernie Rogers.
