The Coffee Connection

StarbucksDespite a lovely dream, I grew depressed as I harvested and mastered Triticale crops in Games FarmVille. Having worked all day yesterday on my Link Starbucks resume, applying online at Starbucks Starbucks.com and mapping out the stores located within a five mile radius of my house, I made a decision to set out today and do some footwork.

Out of seventeen stores in the five mile radius, I planned to visit thirteen. The first two visits thirteen of the seventeen store – the store just blocks from my residence and the Destination Marina del Rey Store – yielded positive results; the rest either were too busy, already had their summer staff booked or the manager was out.

However, visiting the stores, introducing myself and handing them my customized resume paid off. I just got a call from one store and I have an interview scheduled for Thursday at 11:00. As such, I think I will visit the last three tomorrow. Now I just need to decide how to handle discussion of my felony record.

Wishing you the best during your interview on Thursday!!!

Here is some information I found online……

……if you are NOT asked you don’t have to tell. In most states employers can ask about convictions but not arrests so if you are asked about your criminal record confine your answer to felony convictions and explain any extenuating circumstances.

don’t introduce yourself as “Convicted Felon Joe.” If not asked, don’t tell. If asked, tell them the circumstances around the arrest and why you are still a good person.
