Since “Christian” is a label that was applied to the Believers in the first century by their enemies (kinda’ like that song Yankee Doodle Dandy is actually a satirical insult, written by the British about America during the Revolutionary War), and since it refers most commonly today to a bunch of spiritualists, NO, I’m not a “Christian”, true or otherwise.
I just believe the Bible, and don’t see anything directly addressed to the church that gives Believers a license to persecute anyone…Go figure!?

It’s so sad that some people lump all Christians together as a bunch of narrow minded theocrats. This is not the case. The Episcopal Church, which I am a communicate in and active in my parish, supports the rights of gay and lesbian people. I find myself always trying to enlighten those who think Christianity is the enemy, when the enemy are those who do not follow the two Great Commandments of Jesus.

I agree that generalizations are not accurate, but they are appropriate and it is refreshing to actually see evidence that there are some Christians with their heads screwed on correctly.
