I really love things with holes!

chessI only have one element left for my self-portrait, which I will make and insert tomorrow in class. With little time left, I decided to reinvest a little time in trying to create a vortex. I guess I was so impressed with Pretty In Pink The Substitute that I prematurely assumed I had achieved my vision. On closer inspection, I realized that I did not, so I opened up Illustrator and set to Pretty In Pink Plan B.

I went to Shopping Albertsons and bought ingredients for Recipe ceviche I made it for the potluck at school tomorrow. I can’t wait! Here’s my recipe.

1 pound white fish
I used Grouper in Florida and Orange Roughy here in California
1 medium onion
1 bunch cilantro
1 large tomato
1 jalapeño
3 soft lemons

Dice fish, onion, tomato and jalapeño (include seeds for hotness), and chop cilantro. Combine in bowl and pour juice of three lemons over mixture. Allow to marinate overnight stirring once or twice. Salt and pepper to taste. Serve with corn chips.

I received an email today that was sexist and raunchy, so I only sent it to the straight guys in my address book. I didn’t want to offend the fairer sex. Then I thought, I can compose a separate email too females I thought might be able to get a good laugh out of it without being offended. I further rationalized that what I think might be offensive might be entirely different than what someone else might think. But still. Then it hit me! I do have one female friend that I was pretty confident would not be offended and might think it hilarious. But still! I sat for about half an hour, trying to think of a reason to send her the email. I finally thought of a previous email and mutual confession and sent the email high priority. Too funny!
